Hair cuts!!!

Jordan and Joey get their hair cut by aunt Sun. This was Joe's first haircut I will have to take a picture of him now so you can see the finished product :o)
Little sickies
Well it has been a long week. Both of the kids have been so sick, passing a fever back and forth and a horrid cough. Thankfully they seem to be on the mend but it has been hard on me. With just one sick I can still get things done for the most part, but with both it seems like life comes to a screeching halt. But things are looking up, the house is sort of clean and after Josh's school tonight he will be home for a couple days. Now if I could just get Joe to stop waking up and 3am coughing I would be good...

Silly Jordan
Today I uploaded pictures from my camera onto my computer. As I was looking through the pictures I started laughing. I know Jordan likes to play with the camera and I don't mind to much as long as she is careful and asks first. Well as it turns out she has been using the camera a lot more than I would have ever thought, with and without permission. So I decided to post all the pictures that Jordan took. I hope you get a laugh out of it too :o)

making yummies
Today I am making yummies!!! I am making vanilla ice cream to go with a German chocolate cake that Jessica is making and I think I am also going to try peanut clusters. I was checking out Susan's blog, and way back in December she posted a recipe for the peanut clusters and they look super yummy! So I figured what the heck might as well give it a go :o) So we are going to make an afternoon of it. The sun is out for the first time in who knows how long so we are going to walk to the store and get the few things we need and then Jordan will be my little helper and we will make them together. I am looking forward to doing something fun with my daughter and hope Joe wont cry the whole time.
This is the day that the Lord has made and I will rejoice and be glad in it!

Psalm 113
A few days ago I was reading my cousin Jens' blog, She wants a baby very badly and is battling infertility. Her blog was very honest about her feelings and frustrations with God. It is so hard to understand why God does the things he does sometimes. I believe in my heart that God will give her and Brian a child and I have been praying for them. It was on my heart to give her some words of hope. But since I had no idea what to say I turned to Gods word for help. I opened my bible and turned to the psalms. The very first one I read I shared with her. It was psalm 113. I will also share it with you.
Psalm 113
Praise the Lord!
Yes, give praise, O servants of the Lord.
Praise the name of the Lord!
Blessed be the name of the Lord
now and forever.
Everywhere - from east to west -
praise the name of the Lord
For the Lord is high above the nations;
his glory is higher than the heavens.
Who can be compared to the Lord our God,
who is enthroned on high?
He stoops to look down
on heaven and earth.
He lifts the poor from the dust
and the needy from the garbage dump.
He sets them among princes,
even the princes of his own people!
He gives the childless woman a family,
making her a happy mother.
Praise the Lord!

Meet the Family!!!
This is me... Jaclyn Cook born December 8th, 1984 in Oregon City, Oregon. I never know what to say about myself so I will just move on and talk about the ones I love!
My beautiful husband Josh. The love of my life and my best friend. We were married on November 15, 2003 when I was 18 and he 23. It was the best life choice I have ever made, aside from choosing to follow Jesus, my Lord and Savior.

My Daughter Jordan. She is such a joy in my life and I love her dearly. She is so smart and funny and loves life. She keeps me busy and tends to be a little mischievous but I love her all the more for in. Things are never boring when Jordan is around!
Little Joe, my son. He is a wonderfully happy boy and loves to laugh. He makes me smile and gives me hugs when I'm tired and down. Also a great joy in my life and keeps me running. He started crawling this past month and is in to everything!

Well there you have it, the Cook Family! More so come later I'm sure :o) All these pictures were taken on our trip to southern California last month.
My first blog...
I know a few people who blog and I have really enjoyed reading them. I thought I might start one so that people might know whats going on in my life. Sometimes it just nice to put the words out there and see what comes next. I enjoy reading a great deal but have never been a very good writer. I guess this will be good practice :o)
